Playing at the Park - An AG Photostory

Hello! Today I went to the park.

Swinging is always my favorite. The best part is leaning back and looking up at the sky. You feel like you are flying!

I ran up the stairs to the slide.

I waved from the top. Here I go!

Wheee!

I was determined to do the monkeybars. They are always too hard for me. I ended up just dangling by one and then jumping to the ground. Oh well.

Aha! Now this I can do - climb!

After all that climbing and work, I decided to just sniff the pretty flowers on the trees.

Well, I hope you have had a good time with me at the park. Bye!

Beautiful French Braid Hairstyles

The other day I was playing with Chloe's hair when I started experimenting (which I do a lot).  I thought it turned out really pretty, so I wanted to show you! I did it again with Elizabeth, but then I decided to modify it a bit.

Here they are together from the side.  Chloe's falls loose down her back, while Elizabeth's is a braid.
Chloe's hair from the top. Doesn't it look like a crown?

I love how Elizabeth looks with this style! It reminds me of a medieval princess... but maybe that is just me ;)

Here is what it looks like in the back.

New Names Revealed!

Everyone gave great suggestions about new names for Devon, Chloe, Emily, and Natalie.  I have finally decided on what to call them.
Devon (left) will be Lucy.  Natalie (middle) will be Eleanor.  And Emily (right) will be Susan.  As for Chloe...

She will just be Chloe :)

To Re-name or Not to Re-name?

I am thinking about changing the names of some of my American Girl Today/Just Like You/My American Girl dolls: Emily, Devon, Chloe (MAYBE Chloe... I think her name is so cute) and Natalie.  The names I am considering are Susan, Eleanor, and Lucy... I also thought about Polly, Susan, Lucy, and Jill (for all the girls who went to Narnia in the C.S. Lewis series). I LOVE the Narnia books.  But if I did that I would not get to use the name Eleanor, sadly.
What do you think?

Edit: Since I posted, I have thought of another one - Jane
Emily

Devon

Chloe

Natalie

The Slumber Party - An AG Photostory 3/3

Once the other guests had left, Mia, Natalie, Rebecca, Devon and Chloe all changed into their pajamas for a game night!

They set up the games and some tables.

Devon, Natalie and Rebecca played Monopoly.

Mia and Chloe played Uno. "Uno!" shouted Mia.

Natalie rolled the dice.  She was determined to win!

After Uno and Monopoly were over, they set their dolls down to play Twister.

Mia spun the board. "Right hand red!" she called.

Rebecca watched as Natalie, Chloe and Devon stretched over each other.

Then CRASH! They all fell over into a pile of giggles.

Devon went with Natalie to fetch some milk and cookies.  Twister made them hungry!

Everyone chatted while munching on their midnight snack.

They all bundled into their blankets and pillows for the night.

Natalie lovingly tucked her new doll under her arm and settled in.  It had been a great birthday!

An Attic Exploration - An AG Photostory

While Chloe was over at Mia’s house, they decided to go exploring.

They marched up the stairs to the attic.  There were all sorts of curious things to look through.

“Look at this old hatbox,” said Mia.

“A hat and muff!”

Mia handed her finds to Chloe, who tried them on.  “Ta da!” said Chloe, striking a pose.  “What do you think?”

Next they decided to take a peek in a truck.

“It’s a hope chest,” said Chloe.  “See, there are doilies and quilts and table linens.  Oh!  And look at this antique doll.”

Mia spotted something in the corner.

It was an old-fashioned ice cream maker!

“I wonder what could be in this chest,” said Mia, going over to it and pulling on one of the drawers.

A dress!  It looked like something from a hundred years ago.

“I have an idea,” said Chloe.  “You put on the dress, and I will put on the shoes and hat and we can have a tea party!”  Mia thought that was a great idea.

They put on their costumes and fetched some tea and cookies.  They would have to go through Chloe’s attic next time!
